Alessandro Salatino
Alessandro Salatino is a first year PhD Student in Biomarker of Chronic and Complex Diseases (Curriculum in Chronic Cardio-Pulmonary Diseases and Biotechnological Solutions of Regenerative Medicine) at the University Magna Graecia of Catanzaro, under the advisement of Prof. Daniele Torella.
He obtained the Bachelor Degree as Biologist in December 2015 at the University of Milan. In October 2018, Alessandro achieved his Master Degree cum laude in Medical, Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies.
In 2018, he qualified as Chartered Biologist at the University of Calabria “UNICAL” in Rende.
He previously worked as a trainee in different research projects regarding ferritin circulating mRNA, redox metabolism and cancer signaling pathways.
His main research skills are oriented to molecular biology techniques, in particular Western blot, PCR, immunofluorescence, and confocal microscopy. At present, he is improving his ability to cope with in vivo models using small laboratory animals.
